    Step by step

    1. 1

Book your train on SNCF Connect or Trainline

Search "Paris Saint-Lazare" to "Vernouillet-Verneuil" or "Vernon-Giverny". Book 2–3 weeks ahead for the cheapest Prem's fares. Avoid the 18:00–19:30 commuter peak from Paris.

    2. 2

      Board at Paris Saint-Lazare

Metro lines 3, 9, 12, 13, 14 and RER E all serve Saint-Lazare. Trains are double-decker Intercités or Nomad; allow 10 minutes from the metro to the platform.

    3. 3

      Arrive at Vernon-Giverny (45 min)

The station is small. Exit straight onto place Chantereine, where the seasonal Giverny shuttle parks and taxis queue.

    4. 4

Vernon → Giverny (the last 7 km)

Three options: municipal shuttle (€10 round-trip), fixed-fare taxi (€17 one-way), or a pre-booked private driver. If you miss the shuttle, the taxi rank is at the station exit.

Travelling as a group of 3 or more?

A fixed-fare private driver from Paris (€220 for up to 4 pax) costs less per person than the combined train + shuttle and removes the connection. It is also the only option after the last shuttle of the day.
